The Nudge Group was engaged by a small fintech company with a team of 8 who knew they needed to grow, though the sole founder was unsure as to how quickly they could manage it.
Running for 2 years, the business also had a number of costly and negative experiences under their belt, shaking their confidence when it came to approaching agencies. Steve had met the founder through a networking event and agreed to sit down.
Over 3 hours, they discussed growth, how to manage and pace it and if he was paying his staff enough. In essence, a free health check on the business from a people perspective.
After speaking a few more times, the founder contacted Nudge explaining they’d had a resignation and wanted to give our system a try. As they were extremely busy, he needed a replacement quickly.
Steve talked the founder through Nudge’s payment plan: the fee would be charged over the course of 6 months, in 6 equal payments, limiting the impact on cash flow. If the successful candidate left at any time in the first 6 months, they would stop paying, and there would be nothing more to pay. He loved it —
low initial outlay and low risk.
Needless to say, Nudge filled the role. And because our model does not put pressure on cash flow upfront, the staff member becomes successful, often adding to the company’s bottom line by far more than the fee, and before it’s even been paid. This system meant he could hire quickly and with confidence.
Just 12 months after engaging Nudge, the business has more than doubled, with 13 new people taking them to a team of 21, including four live roles from Nudge as of the date of publication.
Consequently, the value of the business has skyrocketed. Where they were once struggling to attract investors, they now have three knocking on their door. Nudge looks forward to strengthening the partnership as their accelerated growth continues.
